The Singing Sailors


ALL NEW!!  This program will bring music to your ears, a smile to your face, and opportunity to some amazing performers!  This program is being offered through the collaboration of Sandwich Sailors founder Rick Serodio and the Sandwich Recreation Department and will be led by the amazing singer, songwriter and recording artist, *Dawna Hammers along with Sandwich Recreation's own talented **Grace Chamberlin. This program will provide individuals of all ages and varying developmental and intellectual abilities a chance to socialize while learning about singing, dancing  and experiencing music firsthand through rehearsals and performances and community outreach events each year.


WHO: Ages 10 + up    *** All levels and abilities welcome-

WHEN: Saturday afternoons

WHERE: Oak Crest Cove Lodge- 34 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, Forestdale

*Dawna Hammers is a talented, experienced & versatile songwriter, performer & music teacher. She has been teaching music to pre-school & elementary age kids as well as private voice, piano, recorder & hand drumming lessons to people of all ages and abilities in both MA & VT for the past 35 years. Dawna is also a professional caregiver, entertainer and music therapist for elders with dementia & Alzheimer’s disease. She therefore has amazing skill at connecting with and helping people move, express themselves and feel the healing power & joy of music.
